My son is using the Emotiv Epoc in his Science Fair experiment (eighth grade) which studies the effects of aerobic exercise on cognitive function. Sorry for the amateur inquiry but please help us with four questions:
#1. If you limit the plot lines in Neurovault to only plotting one Affectiv mental state (engagement, for example), upon exporting the plot data to Excel, will only the Engagement data show, or will the data for all five affectiv states still be exported?
#2. What is the difference between "Excitement" and "LT Excitement"?
#3. Concerning the data exported to Excel, how is it deciphered? For example, on one short export, there were 8,840 lines of data. Line #3276 shows the following dat a: 0;1;94.2;0;0;0;0;0;-1;0;0;536870911;536870911;0;0; What does this represent?
It would be very helpful if my son could extract a mean "engagement" level for each session from the individual measurements taken during that session. Is this possible from this data?
#4 Having trouble with saving and replaying a recorded session in Neurovault. Can a recorded session be replayed when the Epoc headset is not on? If so, how? I guess what we need is a detailed step-by-step on how to record and playback a session -just chart data, not audio or video.
