Dev and Research Versions combined?, Making sure I have it all....

Hello,
I would like to be able to have both, a Developer's headset and an ability to code against your APIs PLUS all capabilities of the Research Version. Please advise on the proper licensing/product choice. It appears that I'd have to buy the Developer Edition and then the 250$ upgrade to the Research Edition. Please confirm that it will allow me to utilize both versions. Also, I would iike to have a confirmation that SDK has C# APIs and that I won't have to use unmanaged C++ code. Also.. which .NET Framework will it work with? P.S. You do ship to Canada, is it correct? Thank you, Tatiana

Hi,
You only need to purchase the Research edition, which includes everything in the Developer edition plus additional tools to access EEG data. The .NET version of our DLL works with C# and VB.NET and there are already several C# open source projects under way using the Emotiv SDK (the most recent is <http://blogs.msdn.com/jgalasyn/archiv...-code.aspx>). Is there any plan to buy "upgrade". Like, I own Dev edition but having EEg data would be good for personal research. Do you have any plan on .. making it possible for gyus like me to pay the difference and not the big number again?

Ok, is there a different headset for research? I read somewhere in the forum about the upgrade and purchased the dev headset and the upgrade to the research.
I think I am missing something. I thought developer and the research headsets are identical and it's the software that is different since it is possible to upgrade. The Research page mentions more channels and other features. Does it mean I got the wrong hardware? Thanks! |

No, the hardware and firmware are the same for Research and Developer headsets - they are identical. There are no differences in channel numbers or any other technical specs. The difference is only the installed software, which allows EEG access and adds more tools and documentation for the Research model.
