Video Requirements, Video Card Requirements

I just ordered my headset last night, and am in the process of purchasing components for the computer that I will be using with the headset.
I plan to use an AMD 4-core CPU with 4 gigs of RAM. My question is, do I need to get a dedicated video card, or can I use onboard graphics? Thanks. |

The EPOC itself does not need a dedicated graphics card. However, if you plan to run high-end video games with the EPOC you should go for an appropriate card.

So if I plan on running just basic games like original doom or quake, I will be OK with onboard graphics?

Should be - it will be dominated by the requirements of the games, not by the Emotiv software. To run these old games you will need to run EmoKey to produce hot keys and keyboard shortcuts to feed the games, and you should be able to use the mouse emulator. EmoKey needs Control Panel to be running. Control Panel uses QT modules to run the display - the overhead is pretty small and you don't have to have Control Panel graphics running with your game anyway - it can stay minimised.
