Cant open the files
Got the developer edition and i downloaded the file but i cant open it
also i cant open the control panel
what do i do?

Please raise a Trouble Ticket if you have problems - go to My Emotiv => Support. Include your Operating System and other environment information and a description of the fault so we can respond properly.

The forum is not usually monitored for problems.

In answer to your request:
1. If you have Win7, SDK will not work at the moment. I can release a beta version if you really can;t run anything else - the Win7 compatible SDK will be released in the next week. Download the Consumer Control Panel for now, which works fine.
2. Downloaded files are occasionally getting the file extension stripeed due to a bug in our downloader. Add .EXE to the filename before executing the installers.
3. User manuals (including setup instructions) are part of the installation package. Go to Start => Programs => Emotiv Development Kit vxxx => Manual, or open it from the Program Files/Emotiv Development Kit vxxx/doc directory where you will also find tutorial applications and sample code.
Firstly, using CAPS is rude.

Second, make sure the file exention is .exe - when I downloaded the files they did not have an extension at all. You just need to rename the file with a .exe at the end. Both for control panel and SDK.

Forty five minutes and no response... Where were you Emotiv? And don't say 'eating', that's no excuse!!!

In a medical crisis, I can't get an answer from my Doctor within 45 minutes, and that's during business hours.

I suspected all along that I live in a country with very low standards. Glad to see I am not the only one who would like an immediate answer 24 hours, 7 days a week.
