Extracting RAW data and other applications

Does anyone know how to extract the raw data out from Emotiv? I have the SDK, and just want to see the Alpha, Beta readings. In additional to this, can I connect Emotiv with Flash (Action Script 3)? I am thinking of a way to develop an application using Action Script 3 (This is the only program language that I know).
Thank you Derek |

Do you have the research sdk or standard sdk? You will need the research sdk to access EEG data. If so look under the research section of the forum for example files showing how to access raw eeg. As for action script, I'm not sure if you will be able to use it. If you are able to access native C++ or C# code within action script then yes you could probably use it, but not directly to my knowledge.

If you have a research sdk and don't see the research forum when your logged on file a support ticket or wait tell later when Gmac is on and maybe pm him.
The Developer edition is probably the standard edition and does not have access to raw eeg. You can upgrade for roughly the cost difference so you may want to do that if you really need eeg data, but keep in mind you probably will not be able to access it via action script as all the sdks support C++ and C#. It is possible to use python because native C++ code can be used within python. Good luck, I'm no expert and do not work for emotiv so you may want to wait for a better response before making any difinitive decissions.

@ripspinner - thanks for helping out while I'm asleep
@francesco - I don't have you listed as a buyer or licensee. Please PM me or raise a Trouble Ticket including details of the original buyer and the type of license. Research license is single-seat and belongs personally to the original buyer. We'd need their permission to transfer the license to you @Derek - Developer edition does not include EEG access, sorry. You can upgrade for US$250 if you wish - check the web store. You can see a basic map of delta, theta, alpha and beta activity using the Emotiv Brain Activity Map (about $10) which may be a cheaper alternative for you. |
